Terms of Service

By using Checkif you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service.

Checkif provides informational research based on publicly available information. Checkif Scores, AI analysis, risk signals and recommendations are not guarantees and should not replace professional, financial, legal, security or purchasing advice.

You submit something you are considering — a product, website, company, service, app, course, subscription or listing — and Checkif gathers public sources, analyses them and summarises what it found.

You can run a check without an account. To save reports and see your history you need an account, and you are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity under your account. Give us an email address you actually control.

Do not use Checkif to harass, defame or threaten a business or a person, do not present a Checkif report as a factual accusation, and do not attempt to scrape, overload, resell or automate the service beyond the allowance on your plan.

Reports summarise publicly available pages found at the time of the check. Those pages are written by third parties, may be incomplete, out of date, biased or simply wrong, and can change or disappear at any time. We do not endorse any source we link to.

Parts of every report are produced by an automated AI system that reads the sources found and summarises them. AI analysis can misread a source or draw an incorrect conclusion. Report sections generated this way are labelled, and the sources behind them are shown so you can check them yourself.

A Checkif Score is a summary of the evidence found during one check. It is not a rating of a business, not an audit, not a certification and not a fraud determination. Different checks of the same item can produce different scores as the available public information changes.

Checkif never confirms that something is legitimate or safe, and never concludes that something is fraudulent. Where the evidence is thin, the report says so instead of guessing.

You are responsible for what you do with a report. Do your own checks before spending money, sharing personal details or entering into an agreement.

Reports link to external websites we do not control, including alternatives found during research. We are not responsible for their content, their security or anything you do on them.

The Checkif name, branding, site and report presentation belong to us. Quoted material and linked pages remain the property of their owners. You may use your own reports for your own purposes.

Checkif is an early-stage product offered as-is, with no promise of uptime. Checks depend on external search, AI and security services, so they can be slow, temporarily unavailable or unable to produce a useful result. We may change, limit or discontinue features, including the free monthly allowance.

To the extent the law allows, Checkif is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for losses arising from a purchase you made or avoided, from a report's contents, or from the service being unavailable. Nothing here limits rights you have that cannot be limited by law.

We may update these terms as the product develops. We will change the date below when we do, and continuing to use Checkif means the updated terms apply to you.
